About PaceYourMoney

Money didn’t come with instructions.

So I spent years figuring it out the hard way — so you don’t have to.

Growing up, nobody sat me down and explained how money actually works. No one talked about budgets, credit scores, savings rates, or what happens when you ignore debt. Like most young adults, I had to learn it all on my own — through trial, error, and more than a few expensive mistakes.

The more I learned, the more I realized how unfair that gap is. Personal finance isn’t complicated — but nobody teaches it. Schools don’t cover it. Parents don’t always know it. And the internet is full of advice that’s either too vague to be useful or buried under so much jargon it might as well be a foreign language.

“I created PaceYourMoney because I needed it to exist — and I think a lot of people my age do too.”

This blog is for anyone in their 18s to 35s who’s ready to take their finances seriously but doesn’t know where to start. No fluff. No condescending advice. Just real, practical guides written in plain English by someone who’s been in the same situation.
